Nkandu is an Advocate of the Advocate of the High Court for Zambia and a Senior Associate at Nchito & Nchito Advocates. She has expertise in corporate advisory and litigation focusing on commercial, arbitration, civil, land and labour matters in various sectors of the economy. Some of the cases she has worked on, particularly in insolvency, have set precedent in the Zambian legal system. She also worked on some interesting public interest matters, including challenging the legality of the Voter Registration process during Zambia’s last national elections and constitutional and environmental issues concerning the preservation of forests and water resources for traditional communities in Lusaka. The latter also set precedent. She has also been involved in cases fighting corruption in Zambia by protecting freedom of the press. She has a Bachelor of Commerce, LLB and LLM qualifications, and is pursuing Arbitration Certification.
